Blogs can make a great income.

Before I started my first blog, I was STRUGGLING financially. Deciding to start a blog paid off huge for me, changing my finances forever.
  • Connector.

Making a lot of new friends.

I never anticipated that through blogging, I would meet so many awesome new friends. That was a big deal for this super-shy introvert.
  • An incredible resume.

One of my friends got a job as a University Professor (without a graduate degree) because he had an incredible blog about the subject he wanted to teach.

I can’t recommend with a clear conscience that you use a free platform like Blogger for your blog. While it’s technically free to get started on Blogger, the actual cost is in reality, very expensive:
  • Connector.

The level of difficulty on free blogs is extremely high.

I find that most people who don’t know code, have enormous struggles with running a blog on free platforms.
  • Connector.

The free blog platform can shut you down.

A friend of mine had his $3,000 per month blog shut down by the platform he was on (Blogger). They gave him no notice.
  • They will eventually get your money.

This is the classic bait and switch. They make it free up front and then charge for every little thing you need to do with your blog.

My philosophy on this is simple: Pay the least amount possible now to avoid all additional cost in the future.
It’s better to pay $2.75 a month now than to start a blog for free and then get charged $20 a month (ridiculous) as soon as you want to make your blog look better or make money with it.

This guide teaches you how to set up a blog on the WordPress platform – the platform used by over 90% of the successful blogs on the web.

How to Start Affiliate Marketing on Your Blog (The Ultimate Guide)

It was about a week beforeI’d have to flee the country due to the crackdown, and I already had to leave my apartment due to gunfire and grenades going off constantly for 48 hours. (Seriously, true story). My (now) good friends Derek and Clay had an apartment across town that they’d just moved into and despite only knowing them for a brief period of time they let me come crash for a few days while I figured out my next steps. While all of this was happening, Chris Guillebeau was launching his latest product called the Empire Building Kit. Among other things, it featured an email a day for a year and was designed to help you build a business during that time. I’d hardly done anything during the previous year to monetize Location Rebel (then Location 180), but when this was released, I figured “why not?” and wrote a review talking about how cool the program was. I went down the street to grab a coffee and when I came back and refreshed my inbox it was 11:05 – 5 minutes after the sale be…
